On the basis of a funding guideline, the state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania awards, with the assistance of the European Social Fund, grants for the in-service vocational training of employees. Companies from Mecklenburg-West Pomerania can apply for training vouchers for their employees. These vouchers are cashed at training institutions and usually cover up to 50% – under certain circumstances up to 75% – of the cost of the course to the company. Course organizers must be recognised as an institution of continuing education by the Ministry for Education, Science and Culture of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.

What is funded?	The participation of employees who pay social insurance contributions in courses leading to vocational qualifications
Who can receive funding?	Companies with a head office, branch, or industrial premises in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania
How much funding is available?	Up to 50% of the course cost per employee, max. €500 in advanced training courses with a certificate of attendance Up to 50% of the course cost per employee, max. €3,000 for extensive advanced training courses with the aim of gaining a qualification or partial qualification Up to 75% of the course cost per employee, if the conditions are met under the de minimis Regulation (including proof of the grants to all affiliated companies in the past two years)
