Training vouchers for start-up founders

Prospective start-up founders in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can receive funding for participating in training courses for start-ups as well as consulting services in the run-up to starting their business.

What is the funding for?

Participation in training courses for teaching basic business skills over the course of 48 teaching hours
Advice and support from an advisor/consultant or consulting company for up to two working days
In the case of company acquisitions, two additional days of advice and support may be funded in justified cases, if the additional consulting services are directly related to the negotiation process between the previous owner and the acquiring party
In innovative, technology-orientated start-ups/acquisitions, two additional days of advice and support may be funded in justified cases, if the additional consulting services are related to matters such as property rights, copyright, or similar.

The training courses must be carried out by a state-approved training provider. Services for advice and support can only be funded if the advisor/consultant is listed with the Federal Office for Economic Affairs or can provide proof of a GSA-approved quality management certificate.

Who can receive funding?

Natural persons whose main place of residence is in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and who plan to found/acquire a company there.

How high is the funding amount?

80 percent of eligible expenditure

The following are recognised as eligible expenditure:

A participation fee of up to EUR 490 (net) per participant and training course (equivalent to a maximum grant of EUR 392)
One day rate of up to EUR 625 (net) for advice and support (equivalent to a maximum grant of EUR 500 per working day)
