Commissioned by the Ministry of the Economy, Labour and Tourism, GSA has taken on the task of establishing an office to co-ordinate the activities required for the implementation of the EU Services Directive. This involves providing support for setting up points of single contact, for checking standards and for the preparation of electronic procedures. With the help of the EU Services Directive, the range of cross-border services offered should improve.
The assessment of standards is a permanent task that goes along with all new or altered provisions concerning the service area in order to determine whether there is an obligation for reporting or notification. Therefore an IT-supported assessment procedure has been developed that is run by GSA in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. GSA supports law-making institutions in detecting and performing the obligations to report.
Competent authorities can read up on news concerning the EU Services Directive at zb.m-v.de .
For the exchange of information between the institutions concerned an internet platform was set up in collaboration with the MWP Ministry for Internal Affairs and the DVZ Datenverarbeitungszentrum M-V. This platform is maintained by GSA. A password is required to access the platform. Further information is available from the point of contact.
